Recent Purchases - Apr 1 2016

Few of my limit orders (set few days back) were hit today as the market was down in the morning.

Lesson learned: Be Patient. In the past I have canceled some limit orders after a few days, and then they hit the limit. One of the painful ones that I remember was EV @ $26.99. Hopefully it will drop to that price point some day soon.

Cullen Frost Bankers (CFR)

18 shares of CFR at an price of $53.50 + $3.95 comm.. =  $966.95

This one of the stocks I bought earlier (few months back), saw it drop 24% more, unfortunate not to buy at that time. Hope it drops some more :)

Vanguard FTSE Europe Index Fund ETF Shares (VGK)

5 shares of VGK at an price of $48.20. =  $241.00

One of my risky investments. Hopefully Europe will come back in the future.

Vanguard FTSE Developed Markets Index Fund ETF Shares (VEA)

10 shares of VEA at an price of $35.63. =  $356.30

Another risky investment on Europe.

Total Investments =  $1564.25

  1. Wow, great price there on CFR. I just discovered this bank recently and it's a bargain along with it's Texas based rival PB. I really like both stocks and are up for serious consideration for my next purchase even though they have already rebounded quite a bit from the lows.

  2. Thanks so much for your comment and adding my blog to your site. CFR was on my screener a few times and the texas banks have been hit hard by oil. Hopefully they both rebound in the future. I still regret not buying it in the 40s :) Good luck with your buys!
